The United States Military

Why is there such an uproar about tactical field intelligence units that operate in Iraq? These are units made up of resources from the DIA and their puprose is tactical (i.e. "in the field") intelligence gathering. Now if our forces weren't in Iraq, we'd still be in Afghanistan and these units are also operating there. I just don't see what the big deal is. The United States Military has always had units of this type dating back to World War Two.
