Happy New Year and all that crap - what makes 2009 any different than 2008? Well, soon the White House will have a new occupant and I hope that means better times for the US. I'd like to think that where perhaps 2008 was a low point for American, 2009 will be the beginning of something better - better relations with our allies, better management of our economy, and most importantly better treatment of the United States Military. I'd like to see our troops in Iraq brought back home and given all the needed medical & financial support to live normal lives - no more PTSD. I fear the extended stay in Iraq has cause considerable damage to the Army & Marines while the Air Force and Navy have faired a little better.
