Colonel Thompson

Col. Roger Thompson, United States Army Reserve, passed away on August 17th – he was a great officer. He was my commanding officer when I served at NAS Fort Worth. He treated the enlisted personnel well and had a very dry sense of humor. I remember a few times after I’d given a briefing where he’d comment about how could the Navy possibly know what a tank looked like or something similar and that would always get a good laugh. I remember near the end of my time at NAS Fort Worth, we’d see Col. Thompson less and less because he was sick. It was my honor to server with Colonel Roger M.W. Thompson.
