ITEC 6324 Posting for the week of 8/29/05

All,

I came across an article about a proposed US government Department of Homeland Security plan for a national exercise aimed at testing the federal government's ability to handle a cyber emergency. It is scheduled for November 2005.

The name of the exercise is "Cyber Storm" and will be overseen by the DHS's National Cyber Security division.

I'll be interested to see if the general public takes notice of the event and how much information, after the exercise is done, goes out to the public.
